Motor Trail Day Three
Charters Towers to Trafalgar Station.
Another Early start and more sausages greeted the 'trailers' this morning. Team P7 did not quite make it to breakfast, but still made it to the start line early enough to be in the first half of the field out on the trail.
Our trek today took us over some varied terrain with our morning tea stop next to a gravelly creek crossing which brought some of our group a little unstuck.

I made an attempt to unbog the Dexion car with a set of Maxtrax, but due to the following reasons...
a) he had well buried it
b) I couldn't really get the trax in position due the car being so low to the ground
c) it was a stupid place to park a 'car' ;-)
d) why shoud I get dirty when he put it there ...?
... we had to resort to a static tow strap, which pulled him out with ease.
Team P7 then assisted one of the other competitors in setting a more appropriate tyre pressure for the vehicle and conditions, and we were away, at the back of the field this time.
The track into Trafalgar Station was quite entertaining and the destination was well worth the drive.
Our hosts loaded us all into a cattle truck and took us away for the 'Trafalgar Dry Creek Bed Olympics'. 'Trailers' partook in events such as sandshoe throwing and beach flag races, but the highlight was certainly the Billy Tea and Damper.
As the sun began to set, we were herded once again onto the truck and returned to the homestead to prepare for dinner.
Dinner was superb. Team P7 then retired to our comfortable out-house, much to the envy of the family-less trailers who spent what was a cold night in a bunkhouse shed...
