Motor Trail Day Ten

Cardwell Rest Day.

After a reasonably late night (with a few check in dramas) we woke to great weather at the Port Hinchinbrook Resort.

We headed off for breakfast to find that there had been some booking confusion, we decided to head for 'town' to fix ourselves up some breaky. We found a great little cafe on the highway and enjoyed our breakfast immensely.

The rest of the trailers headed off to Hinchinbrook Island for the day, the girls weren't really going to be up to the trip so we made the most o

f our time, by playing in the park and visiting the National Park Information Centre. We returned to the resort, got the bikes off the Nissan and headed off for a bike ride. We greeted the rest of the crew as they got off the ferry and returned to the unit to prepare for the Gala Dinner.

The organisers had arranaged for the kids to be fed first, Dinner was nice and the entertainment was good too. A presentation was made to the local Primary School and a series of auctions raised thousands of dollars for Just4kids.

We (team P7) was awarded the "Little Helpers" award for our small contributions to the conduct of the event.
