Opportunity for community input:
We at P7OFFROAD have successfully tendered to conduct community consultation and engagement for two important Coastcare-funded projects, the focus of which are sustainability of Tidal Wetlands and Sandy Foreshores. These projects include the preparation and distribution of a community Code of Practice for recreational use of Tidal Wetlands and the development of a training program for commercial users of Sandy Foreshores, based on a community-developed schedule of Best Management Practices. The new Queensland Adventure Activity Standards have now been released. These will have a positive impact on the way that adventurous activities, with a leader-dependant relationship are planned and conducted in Queensland.
The 2010 Synforce / B & L Freight Fraser Coast Mini-Motortrail was held on Saturday 19th June 2010. The purpose of the annual Mini-Motortrail is to raise funds to assist with the entries/donations of local families in the much larger Just4Kids Great Australian MotorTrail, which this year is The Cape York Adventure described below. For more details of this year's fun day out, click here. The inaugural Mini-MotorTrail was held in 2009, and has a small loyal following who are now waiting for the next one. Stay tuned for details of the 2011 Fraser Coast Mini_Motortrail (naming rights yets to be assigned).
